Rural safety net hospitals serve communities with unique economic, population health and geographic needs. However, with more than 190 rural hospital closures and conversions between 2005 and 2023, access to care in rural communities is increasingly at risk. As of 2023, about 30% of all rural hospitals were vulnerable to closure. In order to ensure access to care, there is an urgent need for solutions to address the health care challenges faced by rural communities.
Join Manatt Health for an engaging discussion on rural health care challenges and innovative solutions to preserve critical services, increase access, and promote equity. This event will bring together leaders from federal and state government as well as rural health providers to explore strategies that address the unique challenges that rural communities face.
Key topics include:
- New and innovative strategies and policies aimed at addressing rural health challenges, including those related to workforce, care delivery models focused on quality, and access.
- Efforts to improve federal and state innovations for rural health, including all-payer models and value-based care.
- First-hand experiences from providers.
